4 Must-have Gadgets - CNN Money, Business 2.0 Magazine, September 2007
"For years I've been looking for a bag with compartments for all my gadgets that I could take on a plane or into a boardroom. With the BBP hybrid, I've finally found it - a bag that can be a backpack, messenger bag, or briefcase and looks professional enough to go anywhere. It has all the features you find in the best messenger bags (padded straps, multiple water-bottle holders, plenty of pockets both inside and out), as well as the durability you expect from a good laptop case (bulletproof exterior, water-resistant fabric, padded compartments)." About.com - BBP Ergonomic Evaluation by Chris Adams, August, 2007
"The Bum Back Pack, or BBP, is a new take on an old standard, or a couple of old standards. The Bum Back Pack is a hybrid messenger bag/laptop carrying case. It also has some great ergonomics. The bag has an ingenious strap system that quickly changes from a single shoulder strap to a dual back pack strap system that hangs the bag at your bum to ease the strain on your back." Arstechnica.com - Ars at Macworld: Bags, bags, bags. And more bags by Jacqui Cheng, January 10, 2007
"I did run into one particular bag company, bbp bags, that had some features that, at the very least, piqued my interest... What's cool is that it's a messenger bag that can be used as a backpack-as in, you can distribute the weight from both shoulders. "But there are messenger bags that already do that, and they look lame!" you say. This is true. However this one doesn't hoist it up on your upper back like an actual backpack. It lets you still keep the bag down low, where it's easily accessible... Another thing I liked a lot was that there's a totally separate compartment in the bag for the laptop. Not just a divider in the main compartment as with most bags. I'm talking about a totally separate, zippable, special compartment. I'm not sure why I like that, but I do." About.com - BBP Bags Hamptons Laptop Bag by Shane McGlaun, October 22, 2006
"Laptop bags tend to be pretty much the same, you get the messenger style or the backpack style. BBP, short for [Bum Back Pack], is different from the other backpacks in the laptop bag realm by allowing for a different carry position that is much more comfortable than the standard mid back backpack position. The Hamptons is also very roomy and well made." Read full article here: www.about.com

"[BBP Hybrid] Reviewed" by Travis Hudson - September 2006
"I tried out the BBP bag while roaming the CEDIA show and I am surprisingly impressed with the bag overall. I had to carry around my laptop, batteries, chargers, gear, digital camera and pounds upon pounds of press releases. They can put some mighty strain on my shoulders and back, depending on what bag I'm using, but the BBP reduced the pain quite a bit. There are a kajillion and a half compartments including a laptop storage pocket that is extra padded. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with back problems that want a stylish and ergonomic bag." Read full review ... www.gizmodo.com
"[BBP Hybrid] Laptop Bags" by Evan Orensten - September 2006
"Designed around the laptop, their revolutionary "Bak2Pak" carrying system evenly distributes weight to promote good posture and conveniently converts from dual strap (to be worn low on your back) to single strap (for slinging over the shoulder) or the strap can be removed entirely for briefcase-style transport. A top-loading compartment features a weatherproof zipper and adjustable padded inserts to keep your computer snug. The bags also have lots of well thought out details like newspaper/umbrella holder, mesh padded straps to keep you comfortable and dry, a pass-through for the handle on your wheelie luggage and plenty of pockets. Well made and well priced." www.coolhunting.com
"Techy Trendy" by Tania Deacon - September 2006
I carried my laptop and books to class yesterday and I have no back or shoulder strain today. This is a huge plus as I am obliged to carry about 25 lbs worth of textbooks minimum. Students rejoice! The bag is constructed of sturdy ballistic nylon (the same fabric used in bullet proof vests!), which is easily cleaned and comes in two colors: white and also a cool lime. There are numerous interior and exterior pockets to keep cords and other accessories organized. There is also a convenient exterior zip pocket for easy access to cash, keys, and travel documents. www.mactribe.com

Laptop Magazine Editor's Choice Award - Messenger Bags
"If you're planning on hauling that 10lb gaming powerhouse to a LAN party, you're going to need protection - and not just for your laptop. [BBP Bags]'s Flow has adjustable sternum and waist stabilizers and lumbar "bum" pads for cushioning the lower back area from bag impact. The hybrid backpack/messenger bag hangs low on the back for decreased strain, and the patent-pending strap system allows the dual straps to be converted into one for over-the-shoulder action."

Back to School 2006 by Gadget Grrl - August 2006
"For years students have suffered carrying heavy backpacks. Some even develop back problems as a result. Now, they don't have to with the new [BBP Hybrid]. Of note is the way these are designed to carry books, cellphones, notebooks etc. The weight is not on your shoulder but on your bum (thus the name). With the weight riding there instead on your shoulders you are less likely to feel the strain. Another great feature beside all the perfect pockets for all your accessories, is the ability to quickly convert it to a single shoulder strap that you wear across your body like a messenger bag. The look and style on these is stellar, add comfort and you've got a great way to go back to school."
"This Bum's for You" by Barry Fass-Holmes - July 2006
"If you've been shopping for a laptop carrying case that is versatile, ergonomic and high quality, you can stop now. The three most distinctive features are its wonderfully comfortable shoulder strap system that users can configure four different ways, two ergonomic mesh-covered lumbar pads, and a waist strap. Thanks to these features, the backpack securely sits low on your back. I felt zero backache while test-driving the bag, regardless of how much stuff I crammed into its numerous and spacious pouches."
"[BBP Hybrid] Flow" by Dan Frakes -July 2006 Issue
"[BBP Hybrid] Flow offers a unique compromise: it's carried like a backpack but hangs low near your bum so it's easily accessible. When you really need a shoulder bag, the Flow's backpack straps convert to a single over-the-shoulder strap. Made of ballistic nylon with a waterproof lining, the Flow accommodates 12-, 15-, and 17-inch laptops, two water bottles, an umbrella and most of the gadgets you might want to carry."

"Shifting The Load Down Lower" by Adam Aston -November 12, 2005
"A stiff back. An aching shoulder. A strap slipping off as you pick up your coffee. These are telltale signs of an overloaded shoulder bag. But while backpacks are more comfortable, they can make professionals feel as if they're back in college. Enter the [BBP Hybrid]. In single-strap mode, it's a shoulder bag with pockets aplenty and thoughtful touches such as a slot to allow for mounting on the handle of rolling luggage. If your load gets heavy, a few adjustments transform it into a low-riding backpack that rests on your "bum" and puts less strain on your shoulders and back."
Gadgeteer Hands On Review by Julie Strietelmeier - November 11, 2005
"The [BBP Hybrid] is a backpack style bag that isn't quite like an ordinary backpack…it hangs lower on your back than a regular backpack. It may look odd, but it's actually quite comfortable due to the bum pads and the nicely padded shoulder strap. Even carrying the bag fully loaded down with gear was comfy…the [BBP Hybrid] is a very nicely constructed bag. I found no defects in materials or workmanship."
